Job Description:
Work closely with program leadership and business development teams to identify opportunities and closure plans against Harris business growth OBJECTIVEs within the national/international aviation business segment. Develop working relationship with the customers articulating Harris engineering and technical capabilities, and analyze customer problems and provide innovative solutions in proposals to the Government and other Prime Contractors focused within business segment. Apply system architecture principles and technical skills toward achievement of the customer primary mission and related technology initiatives. Participate in technical discussions with Government customers (both foreign and domestic) to evaluate, document, and recommend emerging technologies to establish future capabilities or satisfy technology directions. Prepare technical White Papers for presentation at industry conferences and seminars. Prepare winning technical solutions for proposals in response to Requests for Proposal (RFP) from domestic and foreign Government sources.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree; BSEE, BSCE or BSCS with Communications Focus required. Minimum 15 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years design experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Minimum 8 years experience in developmental engineering or systems engineering capacities.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Working knowledge of the Government business acquisition process. Experience in the design of WAN//MAN/LAN architectures. Domain knowledge of TDM, ATM/SONET, DWDM, OC-192, 10 Gig and data protocols including TCP/IP, Frame Relay, ATM and specific routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP and IS-IS and VoIP protocols such as Diffserv, RTP, SIP and RSVP. Experience and the demonstrated capability of managing concurrent projects. Experience in preparation and authoring of technology white papers and other technical writing experience. Experience working with the National Airspace System, technologies and applications. Experience in proposal development preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to include accomplished presentation skills. Keen business acumen desired. Possess existing relationships and be recognized as a technical thought leader in the National Airspace System business segment. Technical and/or industry certification such as CCIE, ITIL, and PMP strongly preferred.
