Linux Systems Engineers
Top Secret
Description:
Responsible for advanced UNIX LINUX and Network systems support in an operational environment. This includes installing, configuring and maintaining Redhat LINUX OS in accordance with established standards; performing application software installations, upgrades and patching; monitoring system and network performance; troubleshooting and problem diagnosis/resolution, performing daily system backups and database archive operations; creating and maintaining system documentation and configuration management documentation; insuring systems integration and engineering change/configuration management, and, providing first and second-level support to a variety of technical and non-technical users. Administers network policies, procedures and standards. Enforces and responsible for system security, system security procedures, and data integrity. Serves as the AIS team systems engineering expert in maintaining and integrating LINUX systems and applications, data files, and control procedures for a complex system of networked computers. Monitors and defines the use of resources, and works with management to define requests for information. Provides technical guidance to lesser-experienced systems administrators.
