Position Responsibilities: Responsible to set up, maintain and extend the web site (an intranet/extranet) Provide rapid prototyping for analytic user interface concept designs Provide user interface design improvements working as part of a large team for diverse project teams in forms such as reusable page / screen templates, widgets, code snippets, etc. Post project updates and associated metrics to inform technology insertion decision gates Experience working on large, diverse project teams for mission-critical web projects and have a portfolio of work (acceptable if available only on classified side) Experience doing user-centered design per usability.gov approach Ability to build, code and maintain sites to be legally Section 508 compliant for accessibility by end users using screen readers or similar tools to listen to rather than view page contents and perform job functions
Position Qualifications: 6 years experience designing, developing, updating, and maintaining Web sites and pages 6 years experience with the use of Web site / page creation tools such as hypertext markup language (html), cascading style sheets (CSS), Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe CS 4 or Adobe Illustrator and Adobe PhotoShop BA or BS degree or MA, MS or MFA degree Adobe Flash or similar Search engine optimization skills Usability testing experience Accessibility testing experience Server management Video skills US Citizenship required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
